As with all new patients to St. Paul Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Haman, Dr. Lammeier or

Dr. Cuellar will review the child's medical and dental history with the parent.  With teenagers, it may be helpful for the child to participate in this conversation.  During this time, parents and patients will be able to ask questions or discuss any concerns that they may have.

At this first appointment, the patient will have

x-rays taken, a cleaning completed, fluoride applied, and Dr. Haman, Dr. Lammeier or

Dr. Cuellar will examine the mouth and teeth.  One important component to the new patient exam for teenagers is a review of the oral hygiene routine.  It's crucial that the patient understands the importance of daily brushing and flossing in order to maintain healthy teeth for a lifetime.
